One Pan Tomato Cream Pasta

This one pan pasta dish, that requires no boiling of noodles, is the perfect weeknight dish that you can throw together, put in the oven, and an hour later, have food on the table! A great add for the busy nights with activities and everyone going in different directions.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. of browned hamburger

  • 1 jar of your favorite marinara sauce

  • 1 jar of your favorite alfredo sauce

  • 12 oz (3 1/2 C dry) of egg noodles

  • 2 C of chicken broth

  • 2 C of shredded mozzarella

Putting it Together:

Fry up your hamburger. While doing this, preheat the oven to 425 and once the burger is done get out a 9x13 dish. Layer the bottom with your egg noodles, then add the hamburger, then both jars of sauce. Following this, add 1 C of broth to the red sauce jar, and 1 C of broth to the white sauce jar, and pour these over the entire dish. Make sure most of the noodles are in the sauce and broth mixture. Cover and bake for 40 minutes. Then, remove the dish from the oven, gently give it all a good mix, and then add the shredded mozzarella over the top. Return to the oven uncovered, for another 15 minutes until the cheese is nicely melted.

Serving:

Let the dish sit for 5-10 minutes after it is out of the oven and then serve hot. I like adding some freshly cracked pepper and shredded parm on top of mine. This is perfect with your favorite bread, as if you didn’t see this coming.

This dish serves 6-8 depending on appetites.

Load of Crock Tips:

  • To make this even easier, you can use 3/4 of a bag of your favorite frozen meatballs and reduce the step of browning hamburger.

  • 12 oz of penne noodles works great too!

  • This is incredibly good as a leftover. When reheating, I recommend adding some more shredded mozz on top, to give a fresh topping the next day.
