Three-Ingredient Crock Pot Cobbler
This simple, 3 ingredient, cake mix cobbler, is the perfect go-to for an easy, delicious, sweet treat! And aside from being simple? It’s baker’s choice for which kind of fruit filling makes you happiest! Or your crowd happiest. A great dish for the family and gatherings, alike.
Ingredients/Recipe:
2, 21 oz. cans of your favorite fruit pie filling (strawberry is my go-to)
1 stick of cold butter, cut into cubes
1 box of white or vanilla cake mix
Putting it Together:
Put both cans of fruit pie filling into your crock pot, and spread out evenly across the bottom. Then, pour the cake mix over the top and gently spread out as evenly as you can over the pie filling. Finally, take the cubes of cut up butter, and place them evenly over the top of the cake mix. Place on high for 2.5-3 hours, cooking until the top and sides are golden brown.
Once done, I like to let it sit on off, with the lid still on, for about 15 minutes following this, as it gives it time to set and slightly cool, like you would do if you were baking this in the oven.
Serving
Serve warm/hot, and like many things, the taste of this only gets better when it is served with vanilla ice cream.
Load of Crock Tips:
This is perfect to try with all different kinds of fruit pie fillings- trying different ones is how I landed on strawberry being my fave!
Be sure to check this right around 2.5 hours, as every crock pot differs based on size and brand, so depending, you may notice around this time the dish looking done, but if not, continue on up to the 3 hour mark.
